2) Gon and Killua enter the Hunter Exam. Gon run at 8 mi/hr and Killua at 6 mi/hr. If they start together, how long before Gon is 1/4 miles ahead of Killua?

3) A contractor mixed two batches of concrete that were 9.3% and 11.3% to obtain 4500 lbs of concrete that was 10.8% cement. How much of each type of concrete was used?

4) One pipe can fill a swimming pool in 6 hours and another in 8 hours. If the first pipe runs for 3 hours and then the second pipe is open, how long before the pool is full?

5) Dave, Joe and Sabrina were assigned the job of cataloging the musical instruments for their school's band. Dave could have done it in 2 hours alone, Sabrina in 3 hours and Joe in 4 hours. They started work together, but Sabrina left at the end of a half-hour and Joe left at the end of an hour. How long did Dave work alone to finish cataloging?
