Is the "Ripped my pants" song from Spongebob "ripped" (forget the pun) from a different song? Kinda like the Goofy Goober one? Cause I really like the tune, just not the lyrics. Also, for some reason it sounds a lot like the Beach Boys. O.o

There is no official answer to this question, but most Spongebob fans agree that if it wasn't outright modeled after a Beach Boys song it was definitely heavily inspired by one. Many people believe it's based off of "Be True to Your School" or "I Get Around" and some even think it sounds just like "Don't Worry Baby" by the Ronettes.

From a strictly musical standpoint I've found that the chords in "Ripped Pants" most closely resemble those in "Be True to Your School" but then again there's tons of songs that have similar chords so this doesn't mean that that song was definitely based on any one in particular.

I think the funniest one is I Heart Dancing because of Spongebob's funny dance moves and then at the end Squiliam does it. What Spongebob Squarepants episode do you think is the funniest?? And please say why in your answers! Thanks guys!

It's a 3-way tie between "The musical Doodle", "Fry Cook Games" and "Ripped Pants". They have those things that just get stuck in your head like the musical doodle song, and the "I ripped my pants" line. Fry Cook is really funny just watching them be super competitive and so so stupid I can't help laughing.

How long has Spongebob Squarepants been around?

I want to know because I saw this commercial on T.V. about Spongebob having a 10 year anniversary.

Is it true? Has Spongebob only been around for TEN years? Or is the T.V. show older than that?

The series is set in the Pacific Ocean, in the fictional city of Bikini Bottom and on the surrounding lagoon floor. The pilot episode first aired in the United States on Nickelodeon after the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on May 1, 1999. The "official" series premiere followed on July 17, 1999, with the second episode, "Bubblestand/Ripped Pants."

So yes it would be 10 years since Spongebob first started. Wow I didn't realize that it's been on that long. :)

Id have to say the F.U.N. episode has to be one of the most well known, whoever hasnt heard the FUN song has been living under a rock! Id also say the very first episode "Help Wanted" where SpongeBob gets his job at the Krusty Krab is somewhat iconic considering he works there in practically every episode.
