I have a male betta fish and I need to find it a friend. If you could tell me what fish Betta fish can live with that would be a great help. Like I mentioned he's a male fish, lives in a 1 gallon fish tank. Any thing helps!!
Answer
you have been given some REALLY BAD advice here.
i own a little male betta and have researched thoroughly everything he needs because i love him :)
your tanks too small for him as it is DO NOT put anything else in there till you upgrade to AT LEAST a 5 gallon tank with a filter and heater (you can only get away without heaters in very warm houses.)
if you put him with a piranha or shark as it listen above i almost gurantee they would chow down on him as he is slow due to his pretty tail and they are vicious creatures.
if you put him with any suckers they will likely suck onto him at some point this causes a patch of scales to rip off ruining the look of your fish as well as causing it harm and opening it to infection.
your main choices are the following but please look at what size tank youd need to keep them and dont try cramming one of everything in!you might think it looks cool but just you wait and see how quick your fishing out dead bodies.
one male betta in a 5 gallon heated filtered aquarium could have up to 6 (if you have 6 dont get as many others think about how each critter has a bioload and the tank can only tak so much.
amando, ghost, cherry shrimp (if these are very small in comparison to your fish they might have a go at eating them but havin plenty of hiding places means the shrimp in my tank with my betta get along just fine)there cool to watch and shed there skins every so often which my little brothers think is awesome.they will help clean your tank
a pair of african dwarf frogs.id advise these being the only thing you get to go with him if you choose them.be prepared for strange froggie noises sometimes as they are not mute like fish, and make sure you research them as petstores often sell you similar frogs who look the part but you soon find out they grow BIG and munch on fish .
3 or 4 platies(you must always have more girls than boys so 1 guy and 2 or 3 girls or he will pester them to death for sex typicl man!)its fine to mix platie variety so you can choose from calico, tuxedo, watail, and micky mouse to name a few this means that you can pick different colours and patterns.
snails, there are several varieties that would do fine in a 5 gallon but do research them as some can multiply ridiculously and you dont want an overun tank.an apple snail on its own should make a nice addition as long as you dont buy a massive one to allow it time to grow bigger, they will help clean your tank
5 harlequin rasboras. you cannot do this if you have a filter with an inlet pipe as the poor things get sucked inside.
you could also get a cory cat but again look up there needs as most of them require an even larger tank than 5 gallons and it is NOT OK to do it just because they "look happy"
personally i have one male betta 3 platies and 4 shrimp.
they all get along fine in my tank which is just over 5 gallons has a heater filter and appropriate planting and a hidey hole (spongebobs pineapple!) any more and my bioload will tip and kill my fish,i have to be carefull to remove wasted food to not overload it.
i would recomend not putting more than 8 critters things in a 5 gallon tank as its pushing your luck a fair bit that they wont fight for territory and chemically poison eachother with poop!
if you buy another fish and put it in the current bowl you have you are no better than those people who make bears dance on a chain as far as im concerned.
goldfish gourami and other female betta's are DEFINATE NO NO! goldfish need different water conditions they wouldnt benefit from the heat your betta needs and are dirty so would filth th place up,they also need at the very least 10 gallons each anyone who keeps them in less is committing animal cruelty.
gourami would eat the betta
females would fight to the death either straight away especially if there is 2 or 3 or them or once they have mated, plus you DO NOT have the right stuff for breeding babies when your barely caring for this one.
bala sharks are ok with betta but you need at least 5 gallons nd only one shark.

What cartoon character fits your life and which cartoon character would you want to be?

I can relate to Spongebob--positively thinking about life... but i'd really like to be like jessica rabbit... sexy and seductive.
Answer
maybe a mixture of characters: a little bit of Eeyore from Whinny the Pooh (the voice in my head that says nothing will work out for me), the taxi cab driver in Heavy Metal the movie(dark, mysterious, tough...lustful), Casper the Friendly ghost for obvious reasons... short, white and friendly (im 5'8), the small anti hero dog to Spike who always smacks him with a "ahhh shut up", and Underdog. I would like to be more of an Aqua Man persona. He can stay under for days and he is sort of an annonymous, understated and easily forgotten super hero who probably raises kids and attends pta meetings when not out fighting crime.
