ive been wondering
i think it should be known and told to the viewers as taekwondo (the most popular martial art and majority of "karate" in US is actually tae-kwon-do ,but ppl just say karate cuz it's easier to call it) so,, i m positive that Sandy does tae kwon do , not karate, but what do you think? cuz on wikepedia it said she does karate.

Sandy & Spongebob always refer their work as Karate never ever forever have they said Tae Kwon Do, proof is the episode Karate Island
and she said that she was better at karate then spongebob so it's definitely Karate(or kar-a-t-ey) hehee

Hi, I'm doing a informative on spongebob. I was wondering what can I talk about or what ideas can i include in my speech outline. Please share your ideas:D

This is the questions for me!!!! I am a huge spongebob fan so I will try to tell you all I can think of. Start with when the show started (July 17, 1999) and how. The creator Stephen Hillenburg was a marine biologist and started drawing cartoon characters of the creatures that he was working with and that is how Spongebob came about. He lives in a pineapple under the sea, his best friend is Patrick Star and Patrick lives under a rock. Squidward Tentacles lives between them in an Easter Island Head statue. Spongebob works at the Krusty Krab at a fry cook and that seems to be his lifes dream. He loves his job. He works for Eugene Krabs (Mr. Krabs) and Mr. Krabs loves money. Everything that Mr. Krabs does revolves around how much money he can make or how much money he is losing. Mr. Krabs has a daughter, a whale named Pearl. She is a typical high school teenage girl. Spongebob is trying to get his drivers license but has been unsuccessful thus far. His driving school teacher is Mrs. Puff, who isn't really married. Spongebob has a friend named Sandy Cheeks, who is a squirrel from Texas. She is a scientist who lives in a Tree Dome and wears a spacesuit looking thing when she is out in the ocean. Spongebob has a pet snail named Gary, who has cat-like tendencies. Spongebob and Sandy enjoy Karate together and Spongebob and Patrick enjoy jellyfishing together. Spongebob is eternally optimistic and sees the best side of people. There are even times that he befriends Plankton (the "bad guy" of the show). Plankton is always trying to steal the Krabby patty secret formula (which has NEVER been divulged in any episode of the show). There are still new episodes of the show being made. The picture at the beginning of the show that sings is named Painty the Pirate.
For your outline you could break it into several parts:
1. History of the show/ creators
2. Main characters
3. Little known facts
4. Marketing and popularity of the show among all age groups
5. To end you could sing the theme song
6. You shoud bring in a visual aide if you can.
