Do normal 2.5 year olds play hard and relax harder?

Stormchant

My 2.5 year old LOVES to play outside. She will spend 8 hours or more a day outside playing!
In the same token though...when she's inside for the night, she is GLUED to the tv...she loves Dora and Diego, Yo Gabba Gabba and Wow wow wubzy...

I'm just wondering if so much independant play and learning might hurt her social skills later on?

She gets along famously with all adults but doesn't share well with other kids. She tends to get bored of other children quickly unless they are older then her and very active in playing outside like her. She doesn't so much want to play "with" them as she wants to play around them and follow them.

She sleeps great, always down for bed on-time with little fuss...am I just being a worry-wort?

Thanks!

Answer
My 3 year old is the same way. She LOVES to be outside, and if allowed she would play out there all day. When she's inside she attached to the television. SpongeBob, Dora, Diego, Max & Ruby, anything cartoon. I have tried to get her to watch as much educational stuff as possible though. But she gets bored of that and wants to watch SpongeBob after a while (her BIGGEST addiction). She doesn't like to play with kids her own age, and does a lot of running from them and hiding when they are around. Although when she is around my sister (who is 12 years old) and her friends she doesn't want to leave. It's a tantrum every time. I think part of it is that she was raised by me, a stay at home mom since the day she was born. She has never really spent a lot of time with kids her own age. So when she does, it's all new. I think when she's old enough to start PreK (next year because of her birthday) things will change. I think ur little one is doing just fine :)

What is the code to unlock the secret character in Spongebob Monopoly?

Merina

I'm talking about Monopoly - Spongebob Squarepants edition. I have looked all over for this stupid code! It's not on the box or anywhere I can find it. Do you have to unlock it in the game?

Answer
1.Step 1
Come up with an idea. There are no boundaries with animation so you can write anything from pigs in outer space to a sponge living at the bottom of the sea.
2.Step 2
Pitch a few of your ideas with friends and children. See what they like and what intrigues them the most and, in the end, decide yourself which route you are going to take.
3.Step 3
Learn the basic screenwriting format. Purchase a screenwriting program to help you with the basics, but you should also learn tips and tricks of the trade that will help you become a successful writer.
4.Step 4
Read other animated television series scripts. Looking at what has sold and is successful is the first step in creating a successful script of your own. It may take several drafts, but rewriting is a huge part of the process.
5.Step 5
Begin writing your script. Always start with a âFADE INâ and the location of the scene.
6.Step 6
Remember to put âDAYâ or âNIGHTâ after every location setting. Avoiding using terms like âDAWNâ âDUSKâ or actual times of the day. Ex: INT. ACME TOOL FACTORY â NIGHT.
7.Step 7
Write in a lot of description, but still keep it brisk. Animation is a lot about the visuals, but do not keep it too wordy. If you are purposely writing a visual shot then use cues in all caps like âMOVING TOWARD CAMERAâ.
8.Step 8
Keep the script to around thirty pages long. Each page represents about a minute of airtime, so a thirty-page script will be the length of a half-hour show.
9.Step 9
Do not worry about budget. Anything can happen in animation, so if you want to add an explosion, car chase or anything that would be high budget in real life is perfectly fine.
10.Step 10
Keep the scenes one page long if possible. Viewers and readers will get bored if a scene goes on too long, and a key thing in animation is the face-paced action and quick cuts between scenes.
11.Step 11
Start and end each scene as late as possible. This is a key rule of thumb for any script and will help keep the story interesting.
12.Step 12
Show as much action as you can. Instead of having a character say he is sad, use his actions to show the sadness instead of dialogue.
13.Step 13
Try to put as many jokes as possible if you are writing humorous animation. Three to five jokes a page is the average, but by putting six or seven, you are covering enough ground to make sure that there will always be a possible laugh.

[edit] Steps

1. Start the game. Knock on the door and choose your dog.
2. Teach the dog a name such as Shakes, Taylor, Lucky, Lilian, Max, or Morgan and say it in the same way each time.(Note: Name must be 7 letters or less)
3. Feed your dog, wash it, and give it water.
4. Teach the dog as many tricks as possible.
5. Go to an obedience trial.
6. Give your dog a walk and take it to the gym.
7. Practice for a while, until your dog knows how to do each thing.
8. Enter it in an agility trial.
9. Then go to the park with a disk and practice.
10. When you get home enter it in a disk competition.
11. Go on Bark Mode (another Nindendo Ds and Nintendogs required)
12. Buy stuff.
13. Wash your dog, feed your dog, give your dog more water.
14. Finish the game. When you have, it's time for 'freeplay', where you can do whatever you want. Have fun and boast about your success.

[edit] Tips

* Do these things daily to get more trainer points.
* Give your dog love and affection each day.
* Some dogs do certain things and some don't, don't push it past the limit.
* Love your dogs like real dogs, it was made to teach children responsibility.
* When calling your dog, always say it in the same tone, you don't have to name it something simple, it's just easier with an easy name.
* Pick up after them.
* There really is no "beating" the game, just more time. You still have to take care of your dog.

[edit] Warnings

* Don't over-do it.
* Don't become totally obsessed with the game.
* Don't do cheats very often or you won't really find the point of the game.
* Never go to an agility trial without training that day - most dogs will forget things.
* Don't do it all in order, the dogs have special needs to do well in some things. P.S. you can't do the walks with out waiting 29 minutes before.

As soon as you buy the Wii you will be able to use the Virtual Console wich will allow you to buy any Nintendo or Sega game that was released in the past.
SIZE?
About 3 DVD cases
PRICE?
Nintendo confirmed that Wii will cost no more than $250, this price point makes Wii the cheapest console in this new generation
Controller Functions?
The primary controller for the Wii uses a one-handed, remote control-based design. The controller communicates wirelessly with the console via Bluetooth.[1] It features an integrated accelerometer, which allows it to sense linear motion along three axes, as well as tilt. The controller also contains a tracking image sensor, which, in tandem with a sensor bar, gives the controller light gun-like pointer capabilities within 5 meters (approx. 16.5 ft.) of the screen.[1] [18] Up to four controllers can be connected at once and operated as far as ten meters from the console.[1] The remote also possesses force-feedback capabilities and an internal audio speaker, and can be utilized as an NES gamepad when rotated, as well as a pointing device. The Wii-mote features 6KB of "non-volatile" memory. It can run up to 60 hours using only the accelerometer function with two alkaline AA batteries and up to 30 hours when using the precision aim.[18] The buttons on the contoller are digital and include a D-Pad, A, B, 1, 2, -, +, and Power buttons as well as a SYNC button located underneath the battery cover.

The Wii Remote can be augmented by various add-ons. Announced expansions include: a Nunchuk controller (which also has limited motion sensing capabilities) featuring an analog stick and two additional digital buttons (C and Z), a Classic Controller for playing Virtual Console and GameCube games, and a "Zapper Style" shell for First-person shooter gameplay which also includes a control stick on the top.[1]

In an interview, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that Nintendo hopes to allow Wii controllers to be personalized for each gamer. Applications would include different game settings determined by the preferences of the controller that turned on the console.[19]
COMPETITION?
You must pick the Wii because it will be A LOT more fun than the other consoles because of the innovative gameplay that only the Wiimote is capable of offering. Also because of the popular and FUN frachises that Nintendo has like Zelda, Mario, Super Smash Bros. , Mario Party, Metroid, etc. IT IS THE ONLY CONSOLE IN THE MARKET THAT IS CHANGING THE WAY WE PLAY GAMES, IS ALLOWING US TO BE PART OF THE GAME

What are the things that need to be done in order for spongebob to discuss the secret formula with mr krabs ?

Luis Figue

Answer
1. They do the secret handshake (Stand on one foot. They balance a glass of chocolate milk on their heads and sing the Bikini Bottom National Anthem).
THE BIKINI BOTTOM ANTHEM- Oh, Bikini Bottom, we pledge our hearts to you, As faithful, as deep, as true, as blue, Bikini Bottom, we love you!
2. It doesn't say the whole thing, just *6 hours later*.
3. Robot Krabs gets into a cannon which spits him out, through a flame ring, and onto a chair at a table. He opens up the robot's belt buckle and dumps some spaghetti in there. He says 'Yum yum, this spaghetti is good." and burps.
4. They sing the Meatball song. Meatball. Meatball. Spaghetti underneath. Ravioli. Ravioli. Great Barrier Reef!
5. He says after a rage that he, before, had to eat 105 black jellybeans through a straw.
6. They obviously had to do more, but this is as far as they got before the real Mr Krabs came in!

My Little 4 Year old sister hit her head, and then felt like she was going to throw up.Please help! Scared!?

Liverpool

She was playing and she was sliding on her stomach, then she slid sideways and hit her head not horribly theres no bump or bruise....and then like 5 minutes later she started feeling like throwing up...and i told her to sit and not sleep so shes here by me...but she feels better now (its been like a half hour) and shes watching spongebob...is she ok? The scary thing is...i asked her again if she really hit her head and she said no i didnt i just slid on my stomach....and idk if shes lieing or not because she was scared....HELP PLEASE!
My parents know...lol and she told me to keep her up and stuff cuz theyre not here...and yeah.....im scared for her, and i dont want anything to happen to her...

Answer
The safe answer is to call your doctor. Better safe than sorry. I would call and follow their advice.

If you'd rather not I would ask her again and let her know that if she did hit her head and then had a belly ache that it could mean something serious so it is important that you know for sure what happened.

Otherwise I would let her sleep but check on her and wake her every 30 minutes or so for at least 3-4 hours.

POLL: What are two things about YOU that you find to be beautiful!!?

I Am The W

Can't be anything physical.
I don't wanna hear that you have a nice a$$, cause I'm sure you do, but that's not what I want to read about.

Like for me, I think my laugh is hysterical and I like that I'm genuinely a really nice person.
It's time we all say something nice about ourselves =)

Answer
Two things?

Okay, first one:

I have the ability to appreciate some things that could be overlooked by others. For example, I appreciate your question immensely and your desire to make people say something nice about themselves so they feel good and you feel good making them feel good. Now I feel good before I even say anything good about myself because itâs just good to know that you want me to feel good and the goodness is now all over the place, like a moving snowball or a boomerang. You canât stop it and it grows, and if you throw it, it comes back at you with its own reward.

Second thing:

Nothing original here, I also think Iâm genuinely a really nice person but Iâll go one (big) step further, to make it more original. As a really nice person, I like kids and they like me. My kids are grown so I babysit other peopleâs kids. I donât get paid, I like to play with kids because they really have COOL toys, like Lego pieces (Iâm amazed how the pieces evolved over the years) or making crêpes and getting flour on your face (Iâm a Gemini so that could explain some things). I also like SpongeBob SquarePants. I canât get enough of the little guy.

I donât discipline, I donât do anything except play with them and make sure that theyâre safe. I go into a house with screaming and chaos and advance warming about the âimpossibleâ kids, siblings fighting one anotherâ¦this one not wanting to eat this, that one having a temper tantrum. Then the parents leave and everything gets calm. No fighting, no screaming, no misbehaving. I think they like me to come around so they make sure I want to come back.

Okay, a little fighting and screaming in a fun way, when Iâm the Princess that one is trying to kidnap and the other is trying to protect and who will at the end do a good sword fight to defend herself with an amazing lighted Star Wars sword (retractable too!!), all the while making sure that nobody fall down the stairs.

Then Iâm all sweaty and think of it as the best workout ever, better than a stationary bicycle. Then I get tired, because Iâm old and all the kids settle down, watching TV, playing with Lego pieces, playing a computer game or even reading a book. Then 4 or 5 hours later, the parents come home and ask me how hard it was and Iâm like âwhen can I come back?â

Iâm asked how I do it. Making kids love me and behave. I just tell the parents that Iâm not their mother. Iâm not the one to tell them to brush their teeth, clean their room, and go to bed at this hour. Iâm just here to protect them and have fun with them. I donât even have to wash their clothes and buy groceries for them so they never see me as a maid or a providerâ¦just a Princess to protect or kidnap and who will put a good sword fight if needed.

I remember a little kid once who had âproblemsâ. He was like 7 years old, mean and full of hatred. You cannot believe how mean such a young kid can be, until you see it, like seeing pure evil. He even sexually molested even younger kids (5 years old) so the whole neighborhood was like âthat kid is troubleâ and everybody treated him like a leper. No way would the proper authorities put 7 years old in prison for molestation!

I knew that kid was a victim too. Only victims become perpetrators in order to justify their hopelessness and what happened to them. That kid was mean to me too (I wonât go into details) but being blessed with my special connection to kids, I threw him a rope or a buoy, whatever. I remember that saying about treating people, not as they are but as if they were what they should be or what you want them to be, so you can help them become what they are capable of becoming.
I told that kid that he showed disrespect to me (like he did everybody else), but I told him that he could apologize to me and when he would be ready to do that, I would be ready to love him like my own son, welcome him into my house, make him sandwiches and get him ice-creamsâ¦

He took him a week but he did it. He came up to me in the parking lot and said âI apologizeâ. I said âapology accepted. Do you want ice-cream?â

Then I had to love that kid more than my own kids because he needed so much since he was so depraved of it. Itâs like when you have guests in your house, you treat them better than your own family members. I went out of my way to cook his favorite meals and prepare his favorite snacks (good food is always a great incentive).

Then, around the community swimming pool, people would ask me âhow come that kid, whoâs not even yours, does nothing heâs told except when you tell him to do itâ and I was like âI donât know, I just have a way with kidsââ.

(I really appreciate that youâre sure I have a nice behind. Beauty really is in the eyes of the beholder, ha-ha-ha)

-Pretend to pass gas and say "Nice! That's the best sh** I've taken all week!"
-Ask the same question..over..and over...and over...and over (goes on for an hour)
-Say to someone, "Hey! Hey Bill! I haven't seen you since that time you peed yourself in Mrs. Lanes class!! So how was bedwetters camp?!"
-When the music comes on for the elevator (if it has it) comes on, scream "THE VOICES!!! THEIR TALKING AGAIN!!!!!! and scream in peoples ears
-Pretend to have a heart attack
-Pretend to have a seizure
-Tell everyone about that nice snake you have in your purse
-Then tell them about your gun..also in your purse
-Tell them about your plans for taking over the world
-Play the Nyan cat song
-And then sing along
-Now get EVERYBODY to join you
-Act like a bimbo
-Act like a monkey
-Keep telling people random made up war stories
-Stalk them after they leave the elevator
-Introduce them to Mr. Pencil Bear
-Decorate their faces with a Sharpy (You'd better run after the elevator opens)
-Quote Shakespeare
-Act like a character from your favorite show. Anime is more effective. (For instance this is me acting like Feliciano from Hetalia. Veeeehhhhhh PASTTTTAAAA!!!)
-Tell everyone in there you're getting married
-Then 5 seconds later pretend to get a text and then go completely insane because your so called "text" was one to cancel the wedding
-Ask them where babies come from
-Ask them the definition of sex
-Talk in an annoying fake British accent
-While pretending to be Harry Potter
-Talk non stop really REALLY fast
-With a like, very fabu valley accent, but dont say anything, like totally gordy okay? This, like accent is going to be like totally fake and sh**
-Sing Candy Shop or Lollipop

-Ask where they hid the alchohol
-Pretend to be a ghost
-Or a leprechaun

-Say "Theeeyyyy'reee heeerreeeee" when someone else comes in

6. They obviously had to do more, but this is as far as they got before the real Mr Krabs came in!

and many more
As soon as you buy the Wii you will be able to use the Virtual Console wich will allow you to buy any Nintendo or Sega game that was released in the past.
