Q. What's the downside to it? Please don't say "it's just a cartoon" or something I mean honestly. If he steals the formula Krabs can sue for plagiarism. If Krabs just gives it to him, they could have a deal where Krabs gets 10 to 15 percent royalty income. Really it's a win-win for Krabs, so what's so why doesn't he just share the formula? I mean he loves money, and if he shared it the royalty income would give him even more.

Spongebob just wouldn't be as funny as a show without the rivalry between Plankton and Krabs. Think about it, the idea is that Plankton is always willing to come up with new and crazy ways to ruin Krabs. It's also his failures that makes it funny as well. There's also the fact that Krabs hoards onto things that are his. Without the conflict between Plankton and Krabs, Spongebob might lose much of its audience.

Is plankton of spongebob a kind of bacteria?
Q. For school we have a project on some bacteria and we have to make a 3D model to go with it (I'm making a cake) i was going to make plankton but I'm not really sure if he's a bacteria?? Please help and if you know how plankton reproduce? That would be great as well and how they get into the human body? Thanks :D

Unfortunately, the creators of Spongebob don't really specify what type of plankton 'Plankton' is. Plankton include any organism that lives in water yet cannot swim against the current e.g. algae, jellyfish and indeed some bacteria. So he may in fact be some sort of bacteria but who knows? I've always viewed him as a kind of overgrown algae. Either way, I don't think you have enough to justify doing your science project on him- sorry!

As plankton covers a large range of species, information on how they reproduce is entirely dependent on which species you are talking about. They may reproduce asexually or sexually. And they probably get into the human body the same way any other microorganism does- through any orifice they can reach. But unless you swallow sea water or are a mermaid- they probably don't enter humans very much.They definitely enter the majority of fishes' bodies through ingestion, seeing as they are a major food source.
That last paragraph was kind of irrelevant seeing as you can't do your project on it but you might have still been interested!
