Yes they do.

I remember the first time I saw Spongebob over ten years ago in fact. I was recuperating in the hospital after one of my 3 failed spine surgeries. I was channel surfing and since I have always loved cartoons (well, most of them anyway) paused on the show because I'd never seen anything like it before. I was 45 years old THEN, 55 now and like John Lennon (who would have been 80 a couple of days ago) loves well produced cartoons. Remember the Beatles' cartoon movie, "Yellow Submarine"? NO? Then go rent/buy it, it is really a good one and if it weren't for John, would never have happened. True story.

I'll admit, at first I thought it wasn't going to last for long. However, there was something about it that kept me coming back to it on a daily basis. I first noticed that it had the usual goofy/silly humor that kids under 10 could/would understand and humor that kids that age and teenagers even would be "over their heads" just because of their age. Plus, during the first 5 or so years, the show actually stuck to real facts about sea creatures in ways that no one else did. Of course, later I found out that the creator of the show was an actual Marine Biologist and had scribbled a really rough draft of what was to be "Spongebob" on a cocktail napkin in the restaurant he was in. Thank goodness it didn't stick because he was butt ugly on that thing! they showed it on their 10th Anniversary show.

Even the creator never expected Spongebob to last this long and to be honest, not all of the individual cartoons meet that high standard of the first 8 years, but thankfully, those are few and far between and as long as the writing stays of high quality as it is and they keep doing what they have with the humor, it could go on until the makers of it get tired of it. From what I saw on the anniversary show though, that doesn't look like it's gonna happen any time soon. They have some genuine FUN making those cartoons. And I mean the kind of fun that cartoonists couldn't get away with at Warner Bros. or any of those other cartoon factories.

They say that "Captain" named "Patchy", you know, the one with that stupid puppet parrot is the number one fan....I beg to differ. I've got grocery bags full of Spongebob stuff. Everything from toys to play with in the bathtub to beach kits to all sorts of stuffed likenesses of him and of course I always have a Spongebob calendar every year.

Long live the funny little guy!

BTW, did you know why Patrick, the starfish, acts so dumb and stupid? Because in reality, starfish do NOT have a brain! Seriously. If you don't believe me, look it up. Makes you wonder how they manage to simply "live", doesn't it?

What's some good ideas for a baby shower theme?

Q. Okay, I am planning a baby shower for my best friend her sister and I are doing this, we are stuck on ideas for her. We both only came up with a spongebob theme because she loves spongebob but we're not sure if thats more of a birthday theme. So we need other ideas she is due to have a baby boy in April so we are planning for the shower in March. So please any ideas (themes, games, decorations, etc.)

We did a rubber ducky theme at mine.

Also, the BEST game ever that we played was filling up 6 or 7 bottles 3/4ths the way full with apple juice. We picked that many people to stand in a row with the bottles and on go they had to suck them down. You wouldn't believe how sore your mouth gets after a few seconds. It was so funny because the adults ended up quitting or cheating and the only two left playing was my 9 year old niece and 6 year old cousin. (The 6 year old won) None of the adults could do it lol!!!!

They also make this blue punch you could google and you sit two rubber duckies floating in it. It was really cool! Other games we played were guessing the baby food, (making each adult taste a hidden type, and writing down the answers) Not ONE person got them all right lol!!

And we also passed around a little duck, and who ever it landed on when I was done with gifts got a 5 dollar gift certificate to the movies!

We played the "Rubber ducky, Your the one" Song, and "Splish, Splash I was taking a bath". Songs like that.

My 13 year old son, niece and my 7 year old daughter want to watch a movie, but don't know what to watch. Where could i buy full seasons of the rugrats?

I want it on DVD not online. I want to watch it on my TV not my computer. Anyone know anywhere? I went to best buy to see if they might have it, but there whole nickelodeon area was all about Spongebob.

Everywhere I have look previously, there have only been the movies available on DVD, and some of the series of VHS.

You can buy a cable that connects your computer to your TV though, so if all else fails you can get them on the computer and connect it so you can still watch it on TV.
